Glowing green rabbits produced using UHM active transgenesis technique

Researchers at the University of Hawaii Manoa (UHM) and scientists in Turkey have produced glowing green rabbits. The glowing bunnies were produced using an active transgenesis technique founded by medical researchers at UHM. The transgenic rabbits were born last week at the University of Istanbul. The glowing effect is the result of a fluorescent protein from jellyfish DNA, which was injected into the mother rabbit’s embryo in the lab. Two of the rabbits from the mother’s litter of eight contained the “glowing gene.” 

These transgenic bunnies look normal in regular light, but they glow green when exposed to black light. Take a look:
